Winter Carnival Week!

Monday, March 9

Theme:   Sports Day wear your favorite sports gear, jersey, or WNES clothing

In preparation for our Canada  Day on Tuesday classes are asked to plan what they want to make for their snow sculptures.  Maybe have a lesson on the Canadian flag or other Canadian icons!

Tuesday, March 10

Theme:  Canada Day in March!  Wear red and white or any other fun Canadian apparel.

Activity:   Snow sculptures with a Canadian theme and outdoor activities starting at 12:30!   Teachers to plan events for their own classes.  Students arrange to bring in food coloring, spray bottles, shovels, and tools to help carve your snow sculptures!  Remember to wear snow pants as we will be outside all afternoon!

Wednesday, March 11

Theme:  Green Day/St. Patrick's Day.   Wear green, things to represent our beautiful earth, or Saint Patrick's day apparel.

Don't forget about  Wasteless Wednesday, where we try to pack our lunches in reusable

containers to produce zero waste!

Activity:  Green Jeopardy Game teachers vs students in the gym at 10:30.  Presented by the Green Team!

The first Kids Run Club/Cross Country running session for all interested grade two to six students will be held in the gym at lunch with Mr. Sweetman and others!

Embedded time day dismiss at 12:30.

Cafeteria:   Green chocolate chip cookies

Thursday, March 12

Theme:  Toque Day.   Wear your coolest, hippest, funniest toque all day!

Activity:  Minute To Win It in the morning at 8:45 in the gym Students versus teachers!

Caring Kids Club Dance at lunch for the Food Bank!  Please bring a non-perishable food item.

Cafeteria:   Hot chocolate at lunch time

Friday, March 13

Theme:    Zombie Day

Activity: Grade six basketball players versus the staff at 12:30.  All classes get to watch this fun event!

Cafeteria:  Zombie treats and zombie pop corn at recess!   

                        Zombie fingers, Apocalypse salad, and milk or zombie juice for lunch

Parents and family members are invited to come join in the fun throughout the week, just be sure to sign in at the office first.  Reminders will be posted on our school Facebook page each day.
